Here we show you the highest goalscorers under Pep Guardiola in one season
Pep Guardiola has raised many amazing players in his career and Lionel Messi is the prime example of it. Another great example of his managerial brilliance is Erling Haaland.
Haaland is one of the best players in the world and probably the best striker at present. He is currently the top goalscorer in the Premier League with over 25 goal contributions for Manchester City.
Let’s see those top 10 players with most goals scored under Pep Guardiola in one season.

Rank | Player | Season | Games | Goals |

2 | Lionel Messi | 2009/10 | 35 | 34 |
3 | Lionel Messi | 2010/11 | 33 | 31 |
4 | Robert Lewandowski | 2015/16 | 32 | 30 |

Haaland has surpassed one of Sergio Aguero’s records under Pep in his debut season. It has been only halfway through the season and he has already scored 25 goals in just 19 appearances.

We all know how good Messi was under Pep, not to mention he still holds the record for most goals contributions in one season. The Argentine had a total goal contribution of 91 in 2011/22 season which tells a lot about arguably the greatest player of all time.
“Everyone has [an] opinion, but nobody can doubt that he’s there with the greatest of all time,” Guardiola said in 2022.
“For me, I’ve said many times, he’s the best. It’s difficult to understand that a player can appear and compete what he has done in the last 50 or 70 years.
“The people who saw Pele, for example, or [Alfredo] Di Stefano or [Diego] Maradona … they can say they’re my favorite because often these opinions are sentimental.
“But, on the other side, if he [Messi] wouldn’t have won the World Cup, the opinion of what he has done for the world of football, in my opinion, of how he is as a player wouldn’t have changed absolutely anything,” Guardiola added.
“For him, it is the final cherry on an incredible career.”
Messi is Pep’s greatest production ever whether it’s about player or a human being. Of course he considers the ex-Catalan as the best player in football history.

Haaland, on the other side, still has a lot to prove. He has a long way to go through before he reaches the level of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and what they have achieved in their careers.
